Elevate Your Training: Finding the Right Gym for Martial Arts in Sydney

Choosing a martial arts class starts with your goals, schedule and the kind of training you want to try. Visit the timetable and program pages to compare available classes and what beginners can expect.

Programs at Marrickville Martial Arts Club

MMAC offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA and wrestling, plus kids programs for ages 5–12. Every session on the timetable is run by a coach; check the live timetable for current class times.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Adult BJJ classes are no-gi. The program covers grappling fundamentals, positions, escapes and submissions. See the BJJ program for what to wear and what a first class involves.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai training covers punches, kicks, knees, elbows and pad work. MMAC also lists women’s Muay Thai and kids Muay Thai classes. See the Muay Thai program for details.

Wrestling

Wrestling sessions cover stance, movement, takedowns and control. Wrestling Head Coach Tsuchika Shimoyamada is ranked number three in the world. See the wrestling program.

Mixed Martial Arts

MMA combines striking, clinch work, takedowns and ground fighting. Head MMA Instructor Antonio Mammarella is a current professional MMA fighter. See the MMA program.
